Changes in Tietokeskus’ executive team – Karoliina Allenius appointed as Chief Financial Officer

Current CFO Kari Vuorihovi will retire at the end of the year.

Karoliina Allenius, an experienced finance leader, began in her new role as Chief Financial Officer and member of Tietokeskus’ executive team on 18 August. Tietokeskus’ current CFO, Kari Vuorihovi, is preparing for retirement and will step down from his CFO duties. He will continue working at Tietokeskus until the end of the year, focusing on project-based financial tasks.

Vuorihovi has led Tietokeskus’ Administration unit since November 2021. During this period, the organisation has undergone a large number of changes and major development initiatives relating to systems, processes, premises, acquisitions and ownership arrangements.

“Kari has played a key role in Tietokeskus’ corporate arrangements over the past few years. Under his leadership, we have successfully completed significant development projects that have strengthened our organisation’s capabilities and readiness for the future. We warmly thank Kari for his valuable contribution and wish him all the best for the years ahead,” says Janne Lipiäinen, CEO of Tietokeskus.

Karoliina Allenius now assumes the position of CFO and joins the executive team. She has previously served as CFO at both Roima Intelligence and Tieto (now Tietoevry), and has also been a board member at Columbia Road, a provider of IT consultancy services. She holds a Master of Science in Technology, majoring in Industrial Engineering and Management.

“I am excited to be joining Tietokeskus at a time when the organisation is renewing itself and aiming for an even stronger position in the Finnish IT services market. I especially look forward to collaborating with our various business units and working together to develop our operations to achieve our strategic goals,” Allenius says.

In December 2024, Tietokeskus acquired Enfo, creating the largest domestically owned IT service provider in Finland, with 800 specialists and 17 locations nationwide. The organisation is committed to strengthening its customers’ competitiveness by developing and delivering the best technologies and tools, based on deep customer understanding and strong expertise.

“Karoliina’s expertise gives us an excellent opportunity to develop financial processes that support business growth, responsibility and customer-centricity. Our goal is to be the most trusted IT services partner in Finland – and to achieve this, we need the very best talent,” Lipiäinen concludes.
