SharePoint on Online version myötä muuttunut ja uudistunut. Enää ei tarvitse miettiä SharePoint farmeja tai sitä tehdäänkö Intranet vaiko Extranet ratkaisu. Tietyt kokonaisuuden kannalta tärkeät toiminnot ovat kuitenkin edelleen olemassa. SharePointissa on sivustoja ja sivustokokoelmia. On Classic Experience sivustoja sekä Modern Experience sivustoja. SharePoint toimii Delven, OneDriven ja Teamsin pohjana. Tiimityöskentelyn asiantuntijan tulee pystyä käyttöönottamaan, hallitsemaan SharePoint Onlinea sekä määrittämään SharePoint Onlinen tietoturvatason organisaation vaatimuksia vastaavaksi.

Valmennuksen tavoite – kurssin päätteeksi valmennettavat osaavat:
- User Profile -palvelun toiminta SharePoint Onlinessa. Valmennettava ymmärtää palvelun merkityksen kokonaisuudessa sekä osaa muokata sitä organisaation tarpeita vastaavaksi.
- Metadatan käyttäminen ja hyödyntäminen SharePoint online sivustoissa, kirjastoissa sekä sovelluksissa
- Kaiken takana SharePointissa on tehokas hakupalvelu. Valmennettava ymmärtää hakupalvelun toiminnallisuudet ja osaa muokata sitä tarpeen mukaan.
Harjoitukset ja materiaali
Käytännön harjoitukset tehdään Microsoftin tarjoamassa koulutusympäristössä, osa tehdään kurssin aikana ja osa itseopiskeluna. Kirjallinen Microsoftin virallinen MOC- (Microsoft Official Curriculum) -materiaali jää valmennettaville käyttöön kurssin jälkeen.
Sertifioituminen
Kurssi on osa Deploying Microsoft 365 Teamwork -kurssikokonaisuutta, joka puolestaan tähtää MS-300 sertifiointitestiin. MS-300 on osa Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate sertifiointia.

Module 1: Manage User Profiles and Apps
This module is about user profile and customization in SharePoint Online. It discusses manage User Profiles in SharePoint Online. It also describes how to use the App Catalog to make custom business apps available for your SharePoint Online.

Module 2: Plan and Configure Managed Metadata and Business Connectivity
This module is about the Managed Metadata and Business Connectivity Services. It introduces the concepts of managed metadata as well as the process to import term sets. It also describes how to manage Business Connectivity Services and create external list.

This module is about enterprose search service application. It provides details on planning and configuring content sources, crawl schedules, and crawl rules. It also discusses how to provision search management of a range of search components, such as Query Rules, Result Types and Display Templates.
